Aldi Rebrand

It started with a Facebook group.

The final project in a senior class at CCAD challenged me to rebrand a big brand. Aldi the worldwide grocery store stood out in my mind as a brand that could use some freshening up. Inspired by a Facebook group I’m a part of called Aldi Aisle of Shame, I came up with a new friendly, and fresh logo and the tag No Shame All Smiles. 

Branding

The new logo is the result of hours of sketching (sandwiched between more hours of scratching my head). Our challenge was to create 100 unique logos to kick off this project. As I sketched the letters a-d-l-i started looking like a smiling face. Through a process of voting and revisiting I ended up with three options to choose from. I decided to go with this fun new logo which can be used with multiple colors from the brand identity.
